Wests Juniors Facility Master Plan and Strategic Business Plan

Facility Master Plan and Strategic Business Plan

Wests Juniors Australian football club

Purpose

The Wests Juniors Australian Football Club embarked on the Facility Master Plan and Strategic Business Plan project with a clear purpose: to ensure the club’s long-term viability. The club faced challenges with its existing infrastructure, notably the clubhouse, amenities and umpires’ rooms, necessitating significant investment to meet current and future demands. This project aimed to provide a strategic roadmap. It sought to guide the club’s operations for the next three to five years and furnish a concrete action plan to strengthen the club’s capacity to achieve its strategic objectives. Importantly, the documentation crafted in this project considered the club’s immediate, medium-term and long-term facility requirements, fostering a cohesive and strategic approach to infrastructure refurbishment, replacement and development.

Approach

A collaborative approach formed the cornerstone of this project’s methodology. To authentically represent the club’s character and aspirations, CPR Group conducted a strategic planning workshop. This workshop facilitated extensive input on the club’s current status and its desired future trajectory. It provided a platform to explore the club’s goals, unearth potential opportunities and confront imminent challenges over the next three to five years. Through this workshop, a consensus emerged regarding the club’s prevailing and future facility needs, including a prioritisation of these crucial elements.

Outcomes

The Wests Juniors Australian Football Club Facility Master Plan and Strategic Business Plan provided a comprehensive and forward-thinking approach that will fortify the club’s foundations for sustainable growth and prosperity. By addressing pressing infrastructure concerns and streamlining strategic goals, the project has facilitated a robust and coordinated strategy. The project underscores the commitment of Wests Juniors AFC to nurturing young talent, fostering a welcoming community, and preserving the rich tradition of Australian rules football for generations to come.
