CPR Group is Committed to Good Golf Governance in Australia

CPR Group is deeply proud of our long-standing association with Golf Australia and golf clubs across the country. We understand the dynamics, challenges and aspirations of the golfing community and are dedicated to providing tailored support and expert guidance in an ever-evolving landscape.

Governance Support

Ensuring a club operates seamlessly and efficiently is paramount to club success. Our guidance in governance processes helps clubs facilitate better decision-making, ensuring all members have a clear and effective structure to rely on.

Constitution and Bylaws Reviews

As the golf industry and regulations evolve, we're at the forefront, assisting clubs in reviewing and updating their constitutions and bylaws to ensure these important governance documents are modern and compliant.

Board Induction Programs

The successful induction of board members is crucial to the effectiveness of any club's management. Our comprehensive programs ensure every board member is familiarised with their duties and responsibilities, as well as providing strong governance practices.

Strategic Planning

With our eyes set on the future, we work alongside clubs to develop strategic plans. This ensures a clear roadmap for growth and the accomplishment of long-term goals, in line with the strategies of Golf Australia.

Amplifying Our Reach: The Golf Australia Roadshow

We were honoured to be a part of the recent Golf Australia roadshow in north Queensland. These workshops, funded by the Queensland Government Sport and Recreation Active Industry Base Fund, were aimed at upskilling clubs and providing them with valuable resources.

The roadshow spanned cities including Toowoomba, Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton and Bundaberg. The goals were to:

  • Share Golf Australia's strategy and discussing the transformative nature of the golfing industry

  • Prompt dialogue among clubs about diversification, revenue growth and evolving into community hubs

  • Ensuring clubs align their strategy with the broader vision for Australian Golf

One of the key sessions in these workshops was a discussion on club governance, which was facilitated by our very own Director, Steve Connelly. The focus was on helping boards and management committees comprehend and execute their roles effectively, emphasising their importance in the larger scheme.

Feedback from these workshops was overwhelmingly positive. Peter Lewis, Club Secretary from Proserpine Golf Club, who completed a round trip of over six hours to attend the Townsville workshop, noted its immense value, stating that the insights provided were instrumental in shaping the club's direction.

Golf Australia is set to further its engagement in various regions, with more workshops and online initiatives to be rolled out. The previous workshops drew clubs of diverse sizes, from those with 16 members to those boasting memberships over 1000, emphasising the inclusive nature of the initiative.

Our commitment to golf in Australia is unwavering. From our dedicated services to partnering with Golf Australia in nation-wide initiatives, CPR Group remains the preferred provider for golf clubs, both big and small, across the country. Together, we aim to foster growth, embrace change and champion the love of golf in Australia.
